Countable nouns are individual items that can be counted directly (one apple, two apples). Uncountable nouns are materials, concepts, or masses that cannot be counted directly (water, information, advice).
এই নিয়মটি বোঝার আগে নিচের মৌলিক বিষয়গুলো পর্যালোচনা করার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হচ্ছে: Common and Proper Nouns, Singular and Plural Nouns.
Countable nouns have singular and plural forms and can take 'a/an/many/few'. Uncountable nouns have no plural form and use 'much/little/some'.
Countable Noun-এ 'a/an', 'many', 'few' বসে এবং বহুবচন হয়। Uncountable Noun-এ 'much', 'little' বসে এবং কখনোই বহুবচন (-s/-es) হয় না।
Uncountable nouns do NOT take 'a' or 'an' directly and never take plural -s.
Uncountable Noun-এর পূর্বে সরাসরি 'a/an' বসে না এবং এর সাথে 's/es' যোগ করা যায় না।
Use partitive expressions to measure uncountables.
Uncountable Noun পরিমাপ করতে 'a piece of', 'a bottle of' ইত্যাদি ব্যবহৃত হয়।

'Luggage' হলো Uncountable Noun; তাই 'many' ও 'luggages' ভুল।
'a good furniture' বা 'furnitures' বলা।
কেন এই ভুল হয়: 'Furniture' is uncountable. Use 'a piece of furniture' or 'some furniture'. ('Furniture' একটি সমষ্টিগত বস্তুবাচক শব্দ যা Uncountable।)
